Backing up your important company documents is key to the survival of a company in the event of system failure. There can be many causes of data loss including hardware failure, viruses, corruption, human error and more. There are also several different types of backup option each with their pro's and con's:
Manual Backup
You can backup the key files for your business by dragging and dropping files to a removable media, including a floppy drive, USB pen dive or other external disk drive.

On-site Scheduled Backup
On-site scheduled backups are currently they most popular way of ensuring data retention. Traditionally tape backups were the preferred method of onsite backup, but with the emergence of NAS (Network Attached Storage) devices, tape systems are being considered dated and expensive. NAS boxes allow for instant and fast recovery of files.

Off-site Remote Backup
Remote backup has recently become the preferred method of backup for businesses as it ticks many boxes and complies to internal policies, customers expectations and insurance companies demands. There are many options available for remote backup, but principally remote backup allows the backup of files/servers to a location outside the building, usually within a data centre.
